Interiotecture: Our Story
Who We Are
Interiotecture is an online magazine and nonprofit organization dedicated to interior architecture. We aim to inspire a worldwide community with cutting-edge and sustainable designs, expert knowledge, and inventive solutions that define contemporary living.
Our mission is to provide a dynamic platform for interior architects and designers, offering high-quality content, resources, and collaboration opportunities that foster creativity, sustainability, and professional growth within the interior architecture community.
Our Journey & A Significant Milestone
We began this journey in January 2025 with a clear vision: to bridge the gap between innovative design and accessible knowledge. Through dedication and persistence, we achieved a landmark success by becoming an official partner of the New European Bauhaus (NEB) community—a testament to our commitment to sustainability, aesthetics, and inclusivity in the built environment.
Facing Unprecedented Challenges
However, the path forward is rarely without obstacles. In January 2026, just as we were poised to expand our impact, we encountered a severe and unforeseen crisis. At the very start of the year, our operations in Iran faced a three-week total internet blockade. Shortly after a brief respite, a second, more devastating 90-day total internet shutdown was imposed.
The Damage Sustained
While our servers remain securely hosted in Germany, the operational toll has been immense. For over three months, critical editorial workflows, backend maintenance, and community engagement were severely disrupted. Publishing came to a halt, technical updates were delayed, and a vital pipeline of Middle Eastern design perspectives was temporarily silenced.
The irony is painful: an organization dedicated to building beautiful, sustainable spaces was temporarily fractured by the digital barriers that separate them.
The Road to Recovery: Ongoing Efforts
We are still in the process of bringing Interiotecture back on track. The damage was significant, and restoration is not instantaneous—but we are working tirelessly, day by day, to recover what was lost and rebuild our platform.
Our current efforts include:
Content Recovery: Systematically retrieving and republishing scheduled features, interviews, and editorial pieces that were delayed during the blackout.
Technical Repairs: Conducting thorough backend audits to identify and fix corrupted files, broken links, and security vulnerabilities.
Re-establishing Connections: Gradually reaching out to contributors, partners, and community members to rebuild trust and reschedule collaborations.
Strengthening Infrastructure: Developing decentralized workflows and offline preparation systems to ensure greater resilience against future disruptions.
We are not there yet. But every day brings us closer.
A Message to Our Community
We will not pretend the damage was minor—it was significant. And we will not pretend the work is finished—because it is not. But Interiotecture was built on the belief that great design transcends obstacles. Every challenge has taught us invaluable lessons about adaptability, solidarity, and the true meaning of a global community.
We are retrieving our content, piece by piece. We are restoring our voice, word by word. And we are inviting you—our readers, partners, and fellow designers—to walk this journey with us.
The work continues. The vision endures. And we are just getting started.
With resilience and gratitude,
Poupak Seyedan
